The Dudson Centre is a community resource centre managed by VAST, on the former Dudson factory site in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. It includes meeting rooms, managed offices, a café and the Dudson Museum, which is an important point on the city’s Ceramics Trail. The museum is housed within an historic bottle oven and contains varied collections of Dudson pottery from the past two centuries and a small gift shop area of ceramic-related gifts. VAST offer support and training to non-profit community groups and charities to help them reduce their environmental impact. The Centre is also continuing to address its own impacts, acting on the results of a comprehensive energy audit. For example, the museum has 100% LED lighting and the communal areas of the Centre have PIR censors.
