The museum is housed within an historic bottle oven on the former Dudson factory site in Hanley. It contains several small but varied collections of Dudson pottery from the past two centuries and a small gift shop area of ceramic-related gifts. The museum is an important point on the city’s Ceramics Trail. It has made impressive progress in its efforts to reduce energy consumption and has implemented light-saving technologies in the bottle oven and in its display cases.
