EQM process overview

The award is actually a cycle of submitting your application, being reviewed and assessed, action planning, and follow up reviews.

Step 1: Register as an individual

Once you have registered and created an account, we check your details. You receive an email to say your account has been activated.

Step 2: Complete the questionnaire

You can now log in to the EQM website to register your business. You can then start to answer the questions in the questionnaire.

Step 3: Submit your application

When you have completed the questionnaire, you submit your application. You receive an invoice for the fee.

Step 4: Receive an inspection visit

We carry out an inspection visit to check statements made in your application are genuine.

Step 5: Assessment by a panel

Your application is assessed by an independent awards panel.

Step 6: Panel decision

The awards panel considers your application and evidence from the inspection. If you have met the criteria and requirements of the EQM scheme, your business or organisation receives the EQM award.

Step 7: Update and review

You are required to update your actions and plan every year and you receive an inspection visit every two or three years. The EQM is awarded for two years.
